ITUS Secure Technologies: 2025 Year in Review A Year of Milestones: ITUS Protect's 2025 Story

As 2025 draws to a close, ITUS Secure Technologies is pausing to reflect on what has been both a pivotal and transformational year for us as a company. We've seen significant growth, ongoing development of our product ITUS Protect, and continuous improvement as an organisation. In this closing blog for the year, we celebrate some key highlights and milestones.

Taking ITUS Protect Stateside: Our US Trade Mission with Awaken Angels

At the beginning of the year, our co-founders Dr. Clare Ryan and Paul Daly travelled as part of a 15-strong Irish start-up delegation to Boston and New York in partnership with Awaken Angels and supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Irish American Partnership, and Ireland Emigrant Support Programme.

They took part in a series of meetings with industry leaders, potential partners and investors. It was a vibrant week of genuine connections and shared ideas, laying the groundwork for lasting partnerships in the UK and USA. We plan to continue that momentum into 2026. You can read a full debrief of the trip from Clare's perspective via this archived blog.

Making Headlines in Print, Broadcast and Beyond

ITUS hit the press with a full-page feature in the Business Post, celebrating closure of our pre-seed investment round and highlighting our ambitions for the future. We’re delighted to have the support of Raise Ventures, Symvan Capital and Awaken Angels as well as Enterprise Ireland on this journey. You can read the full article here.

Clare also shared her start-up story with veteran reporter Jim Fitzpatrick on The Irish News ‘Trading Up Podcast’ - you can listen to her episode here.  She later revealed how she set fire to her eyebrows, eyelashes and fringe (and lived to tell the tale) in a Spotlight interview with Gary McDonald from The Irish News, which you can read here.

Among Ireland's Brightest: The HPSU Founders Forum

We were delighted to secure a spot on the coveted HPSU Founders Forum, delivered by Select Strategies for HPSU companies on behalf of Enterprise Ireland. We spent six months on the programme alongside a brilliant cohort of start-up founders. The experience was both energising and exhilarating as we tackled tough challenges, shared experiences openly and honestly, and built strong foundations for 2026 and beyond. A special congratulations to Mark O'Sullivan, founder of NeuroBell, who was named Founder of the Year 2025.  You can read more on the award here.

Cyber Insurance Takes Centre Stage: Renaissance Cyber Con Expo

In May, we headed to the Renaissance Cyber Expo and Conference at The Leopardstown Pavilion in Dublin. This annual event brings together the entire cyber ecosystem including vendors, resellers, IT professionals and business leaders all under one roof.

Beyond our exhibition stand, Clare joined a panel discussion sharing insights on how the cyber insurance industry is evolving. She was joined by Gary Melvin (Security & Compliance Director, Nostra), Daniel Garry (Director of Security, FutureRange), and moderator David McCullough from Xsell.

Clare spoke about how cybersecurity is shifting from a product to a service, the growing importance of cyber insurance in your cybersecurity risk strategy, and the crucial role MSSPs now play in helping businesses secure appropriate cyber insurance cover. You can watch the full conversation on YouTube (Clare features from 46 minutes).

MSP Partner Programme Launched

A major milestone this summer was the launch of our MSP partner reseller programme for ITUS Protect. This strategic move has been transformative for our distribution model and product growth. By partnering with managed service providers, we're now able to reach more SMEs who need comprehensive cybersecurity solutions but lack the in-house expertise to implement them effectively.

Our MSP partners act as trusted advisors to their clients, and ITUS Protect empowers them to deliver greater value by simplifying cyber risk management. The programme has already seen strong adoption, with ITUS Protect now being used across Ireland and the UK. We're excited to continue expanding this network throughout 2026. If you are an MSP and you would like to learn more about our programme, you can reach out to our team via This email address is being protected from spambots. InsTech.ie Foundry Accelerator

In September, we were selected to join the InsTech.ie's Foundry Programme, an exciting new pre-accelerator for insurtechs in Ireland.

Ireland is a recognised international hub for insurance innovation, having the fifth largest insurance market in the EU and the second largest reinsurance market. InsTech.ie's Foundry programme has been designed to support and inspire insurtech founders in Ireland.

Our team worked alongside nine additional participant start-ups and industry-specific mentors throughout the programme, which will wrap up with an investor showcase in early 2026. We’re particularly excited about this programme given the participants access to insurance brokers and providers within the Irish ecosystem. We’re excited to be showcasing how ITUS Protect can address the challenges for small businesses within the cyber insurance sector.

Cyber Ireland Conference

In October, we attended the annual Cyber Ireland National Conference, held this year in Kilkenny. This flagship cybersecurity event brings together leaders and professionals across industry, academia, and government to explore the most pressing challenges facing Ireland and beyond.

The conference provided invaluable opportunities to connect with national and international thought leaders whilst gaining insights into the latest developments in Ireland's cyber strategy, EU policy trends, and global cybersecurity initiatives. Events like these reinforce why collaboration across the cyber ecosystem is essential as threats continue to evolve and become more sophisticated. We also attended the launch session of Cyber Ireland’s Start-up Forum, a unique initiative to help support early-stage Irish start-up founders in the cyber space. Clare has been appointed one of the three industry leads for the initiative.

More information on the group and how you can get involved can be access here.

Cyber Security Awareness Month: ITUS Protect's Inaugural Webinar

As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, we hosted our first webinar, 'Who Owns Cyber Risk: What Business Leaders Need to Know', to great success! Led by our expert speakers Alison McMurtrie, Jenny Ervine and Clare Ryan, and facilitated by Suzie McAneney, the session brought together registered delegates from a cross-section of industries including manufacturing, not-for-profit and cyber. You can watch the two-part webinar via our YouTube Channel.

Listed as an Irish Cyber Security Start-Up to Watch in 2026

We were featured as one of Ireland's top cybersecurity start-ups to watch in 2026 in an article by John Kennedy from Thinkbusiness.ie. This recognition highlights the strides we've already taken in the cyber industry and our continued efforts to help SMEs across Ireland and beyond quantify and manage their cyber risk.

Law Society of Ireland Partnership: 10 Tradeshows Delivered

We closed the year at the final Law Society of Ireland CPD Skillnet event, held in the beautiful surroundings of the College Green Hotel, Dublin. Throughout the year, we travelled across Ireland as part of our ongoing Law Society CPD Skillnet partnership, showcasing ITUS Protect and meeting hundreds of solicitors eager to improve their cybersecurity awareness. From Limerick to Leitrim to Lough Eske, we covered considerable ground!

A special acknowledgement to our fellow sponsors for their partnership throughout the programme: Finders International Probate Genealogists, Currencies Direct Ireland, Clio, and Dye & Durham Ireland (Keyhouse). It's been a pleasure to collaborate and contribute to such a forward-thinking series for legal professionals.

We're proud to have supported all 10 CPD Cluster events throughout Ireland.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we close the chapter on 2025, we're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished. From expanding our reach through the MSP partner programme to deepening our expertise in cyber insurance via the InsTech.ie Foundry, every milestone has strengthened our mission to empower SMEs to understand and manage their cyber risk.
But we're not stopping here. 2026 promises to be our most ambitious year yet as we continue building partnerships internationally, evolving ITUS Protect to meet the changing needs of our customers, and reinforcing our position at the forefront of cybersecurity and insurance innovation. We plan to open our next startup funding round in early 2026, with early access opportunities available to those who register their interest ahead of the formal launch. If you are interested in joining this round, reach out to Clare Ryan directly

To everyone who has been part of our journey this year, our partners, investors, customers, mentors, and supporters - thank you. Your trust and collaboration fuel everything we do.
